The course is in excellent shape. The greens were very wet this morning early making them difficult to putt.

Decent course. Great design but the rough is in the worst shape I’ve ever seen. Grass up to your ankles makes it impossible to find your ball. Please cut your grass.

This is the worst course I’ve ever played and it’s not even close. They somehow made a $22 9 hole round feel like a scam. Course Conditions 0/5 Fairways unmowed and unwatered with weeds sprouting throughout Rough was just weeds, uneven grass and bare spots Sand traps, although very few, completely unplayable Pace of Play 0/5 Gave it 2 hours to play 7 holes waiting on every single shot before calling it a lost day Greens 2/5 At least these were well kept, albeit extremely slow Next time I will just stay home when there are no other options because this was a terrible waste of a morning

Nice course for getting back into playing seniors or beginners. Well maintained and very nice people running things. Had a very enjoyable time.

South Grove is one of the better city courses in Indianapolis. The course is in decent shape, fairways and tee boxes are subpar on certain holes but not terrible. Greens are fairly well maintained, but the bunkers that are remaining are basically dirt. In turns of amenities, selection is rather limited. Not much to chose from in terms of food and they do not offer liquor, only beer. I’d advise getting a cooler for beer as the singles are not very cold. Overall pretty good course for the price. Not terribly busy if you play early morning, even on Sundays. Not a terribly challenging course as there are virtually no bunkers or water on the course.
